Sorry to hear that. I reviewed your fishing reports for the past couple of years and noticed you have had a rough go; from Athens NE, to 9G to Ben Wheeler Twin Lakes, Gilmer Hat and Star and now Weston. Keep your head up, try some new techniques, maybe try fishing with a guide at Fork or other lake and keep on keeping on. You have fished some really good lakes without a good report. It will be your day one day soon. Your luck is bound to change

Jason, if you're interested in a guide at Fork, for several years I've used a guy named Doug Shampine. Great guy to spend a day in a boat with, and an excellent teacher. I thought I knew a lot about bass fishing until I started going out with Doug. Even with being a PWF member since 2012, I still go out with Doug 2-3 times a year to Fork just to pick up some tricks. I don't have any conflicts of interest in recommending him either, just been a really satisfied customer. Best,

Herb

Jason,  give Sulpher Bluff a try.. its a place that has been in the club for a long time and has always been a good producer.. i think it could turn your luck around,, sometimes its about confidence,, and as Herb said, try a guide once and see what all there is to learn.. i dont know what area you live in , but since you fish Weston you must be up around my way.. im in Allen.. if you are then take a run up to Cody ranch,, it will serve you well.. im assuming you have a boat..  and one last thing,, some places serve people well and some dont.. i read that members do well at Weston , but ive been twice, years ago and never did very well (so dont feel to bad).. have you tried Van Alstyne?

Weston can be slow but I caught my biggest bass ever there - 7.5 pounds - near the island. I produced the club video shown on Weston’s page and it shows me catching that fish on a shallow crankbait!
Fish congregate near the sunken brush piles. Topwaters early usually produce along the north shore. Good luck!
