Fished Lake Side with a buddy Wednesday afternoon. Hot day for this time of year with lots of sunshine and a little breeze that caused a few ripples. Thought the fish would be in the shade of the extensive lily pads or in the clear, cooler, deeper water. The pads were a complete "no go"....Nada! So deep it was. Caught fish, at least a dozen or so, but (where's my crying towel?) we had to work for them. Chunk'n and grind'n deep divers in areas where there are weeds and scattered fish can be tiring, also discouraging when the "bite" is slow. In the end though, a good day of fishing as the numbers continued the rise, with every fish between 21/2 and 51/2 lbs. Nary a "dink" and what an attitude, under the boat on multiple runs or in the air showing off. You would think we were catching fish twice their size. Yes, we did throw other baits and caught two, that would be two, on 10" plastics but the real success was deep. As stated "All in all a good day!"
