Fly fisherman member Tom Blailock and I bank fished Friday morning, Oct 16, from 8 until noon. We managed to get 16 with 1 cull. Fish were very active on a Pop-R from 8 to 9. Would expect if we got there at sun up, we would have had 2 hours of topwater action. About 11:45, I wandered over to the pier and chucked a 5 inch Tiki Bamboo Stick, color Junebug, rigged wacky style and caught my biggest bass ever at 10 lbs. Did not get the length as the big fish was on the bank too long and we wanted to get her back in the water. It was certainly a big surprise for a small lake. The big one and the rest were all very healthy.   I have attempted to attach a photo.

John. Congrats!!  I also also have my PWF personal best at this location. I think it was 8-9.

Thanks for the report.

Nice going, John! I hope I never catch a fish that big. I'd have a heart attack and would wake up in the ICU.

Congratulations on an awesome catch John!  I’ve had about 3 trips there and caught numbers, but still waiting for “The Big One.”  Thanks for the inspiration to continue my quest there.  Good luck on future trips to PWF properties.
