Does Weston Need a Rest? No love.

I took 3 teenage boys (good fishermen), and we hit Weston from 1:30pm to dark this past Sunday.  I caught zero.  First time ever to get blanked that I can recall (for the record, I do go fishing with guides quite often - i’m no pro, but not a nube).

The boys caught 3 dinks between them.  We threw topwater, jerk baits, chatterbaits, spinners, worms, rattle-traps… pretty much anything in the tackle box.  No love.

The water is very low - and a cool front had just moved thru that morning, so perhaps conditions were less than ideal, but that was pretty sorry fishing.  With all our casting, we should have foul-hooked something!  Maybe Weston needs a year to recover.

Peace and love, Michael

Michael,

Could you explain what you mean when you say recover? Did you see something that lead you to think the lake needed to recover from something?  I'm unaware of something happening to the lake that it may need a to recover. Our members often see things our landowners do not. Very curious on what your thoughts about recovery.

Perhaps it is because the last 5 reports have been slow?

Thanks

Steve
