Fished Saturday and briefly Sunday morning. Cabin was great as usual and water level is the highest I’ve seen since I started going there in 2012.

Fishing was a ton of cull fish, as many as you felt like catching. Topwater with baby Zara spooks and later in the day with Texas rigged water melon Senkos tipped with garlic Spike-it. Would be a good spot to take kids with short attention spans to fish as you’ll be steady catching smaller fish.

Lots of ducks, as well as other wild life (spooked a white tail going down the creek to the right of the cabin, and saw a big nutria both mornings). I left a note for the landowner that the john boat has a leak in it halfway between the bow and middle seats, looks like it might be the spot of a previous patch.

Also, with 103.3 carrying Aggie games, I was happy to find out that you can listen to Aggie games out there now!

Always good to get out of the city for a weekend.
