Fished this lake on November 11, 2015 with three other club members. Wind was moderate with occasional gusts which made boat positioning a little tricky. Each of us had a 20 pound five fish bag for the day with two members having 5 fish bags that exceeded 30 pounds. Not fishing as well as it did in the Spring of 2015 (in terms of numbers) but the quality of the fish we were catching was very good.
Largest fish caught was just under 8 pounds. Consistent technique for the day was C-Rig….did not matter what you had for a lure. Lightening and Thunder chased us off the water around 4:15 pm. Most of the fish came from two or three spots on the lake…..not sure what is in these particular areas holding the fish (as the lake has no natural structure.
I do not think anyone really fished past the house…..most of our focus was a short drive from he ramp. New boathouse very nice, boat lifts top notch, I know our leader (SA) spent quite a bit of time installing brush (marked with PVC poles) but we did not have any luck fishing these areas…..strange as there is little or no structure in the lake?
Lots of weeds, which will soon die off with cooler weather. Thanks to JB for the intel prior to our trip. Thanks to Mr. Alexander for the great fishing locations! BH
