Brother and I fished Friday afternoon at 9G.  First time on the property, so maybe we didn't focus on the right portion of the lake.  Caught 5 bass and 1 crappie.  Only one of them was a "dink", the other 4 were from 2 to 3 1/4 and chunky, solid fighters.  Could only coax them with a medium sized shad colored squarebill.  Still a lot vegatation just under the surface on most of the lake.  Enjoyed the property and hope to hit it again.  Worked out great after a morning round of golf at The Bridges in Gunter.

Mark and any other interested members,

Steve and I performed an electrofishing survey on 9G back in the spring, and found that a few spots really held fish, and some good fish at that. We shocked up several fish in the 3.5 - 5.5 pound range, and two fish over 8 lbs. Below you will see a map that shows the lakes "hot spots" based on the survey results. Please note that we also found good numbers of fish holding close the the rocks along the dam.

Nice of y'all to mark the photo like this for us, Seth. It would be nice if you'd do this for more of our waters.

Hey Mark. I fished out at 9G about 2 weeks ago. It helps to have sonar out there because there are some funky holes in that lake. I caught most of my fish between the point SE of the dam and the area marked on the far south end of the lake. Most all were on Rattle Traps fished fast over the shallow weeds. It was really moving but the bass didn't seem to mind.

Tight Lines!

Hi Mark,

I fished 9G this past Sunday morning.  I caught 15 up to 5+ (only one dink) and almost all on spinner bait fished over the weeds, a couple were on lipless crank.  I didn't get any bites on the North part where the brush piles are marked, but had pretty consistent action drifting up from the creek channel area to mid-lake.

My battery died quickly so did bank fishing from the launch area back around to the creek channel; ended up catching more from the bank than the boat along with biggest one…lots of really fun strikes and fights coming just a few feet off the bank.

Spinner colors I used were chart/white and bluegill.  Consistent cloud cover that morning probably helped the fishing.
