Took my son out during spring break a couple of weeks ago and fished from about 8am until about Noon.  We caught 5 crappie of good size (8 to 10 inches plus) one small bass and one good bass in the 2lb range.

We fished mostly around the brush pile at the far end of the lake from where the boat was placed and caught fish on jig heads with paddle tails as well as small spinner baits.  Caught one small bass on a texas-rigged soft plastic but got very little action on those baits.

It was our first time there, but the lake seemed like it was much higher than it would have been normally.
