My son and I fished Timber Lake today 7AM-1PM, with an hour break for lunch. Ended up boating about 14 on a sunny, hot day. Although some were under 14”, most of them were chunky and healthy. Biggest went about 3.5 lbs. Caught most of them in the timber on texas rigged brush hogs or jigs. This is a great place to fish, and we both had a blast!

Thanks for the report. The last post on Timber Lake had a different experience with the fish’s health. I guess one mans skinny fish is another mans chunky fish? Sounds like I may need to take a trip to get a first hand look at these fish. Tough job. Oh well. I’ll let you know my thoughts after my trip.
