I fished black hat and found the lake in great condition.  It was very windy at times and the fishing didn't turn on until 10 am.  Most of my bites were very close to cat tails and grass near the bank.  I caught 21 good fish.  All were very full and fat.  Most of my hits came on a scum frog.  I lost as many as I caught until I started throwing a chartreuse buzz bait.  Adding a trailer hook made the difference.  My biggest fish was 5 1/2 #.  According to my graph the lake is full of bait fish.
