Fished Yates place yesterday, and was pleased that the forecast wind never arrived…guess it was too busy carrying grapefruit-sized hail to San Antonio. I arrived to find the lake 2-3 feet high with visibility less than 12”. The water temperature fell from 70.4 to 69 during the night on Monday. I fished hard from 7:00 until 6:50, but boated only 11 fish. Six were harvested, and the largest 3 of the remaining 5 all attacked a Spro hollow-body popping frog in the emerging pads. Biggest was 5-04. Still, a very enjoyable day. Had a very nice talk with Mr. Yates, too. As always, he was the best possible host. Glad to see that his foot seems to be healing well.
