Fished Caresend Lake on a very windy and cloudy Sunday with my buddy Beau. Very windy morning, started at 7AM, and it took us a while to get a bite.  Finally got a three pounder on a slow rolled black spinnerbait.  We eventually figured out the bass wanted slow moving lures.  Texas rigged black and blue Gene Larew Hawg Craws and wacky rigged watermelon senkos caught the rest of the fish.  Many were off the dam in shallow timber, and the rest were off the shallow weed lines, opposite the boathouse.  Big fish were 6.25, 5.5, 5.5, and about ten more that were all 2.5 to 4 lbs.  Only one under the 16" limit and he managed to get away as I tried to put him in the crappie basket.  Great Lake, nice boats, though a bit noisy- squeaky seat post and loud front deck, but nice big boat with good strong 24 volt trolling motor.  Other than a few sprinkles, the storms held off right until we were ready to leave, around 4:30 PM.  Very expensive, but I hope to make it back.
