Took my father to Melody Acres on 4/23 (Sat). Water clarity was about 1 foot. I assume it would have been clearer had we not received so much rain.

Our intention was to focus on largemouth bass, but my dad grabbed my ultralight with a roadrunner rigged up, and on the first cast caught a really nice crappie right out from the boathouse. He proceeded to catch one almost every cast until he got tired of throwing them in the basket. We harvested 14 crappie, and took out 2 undersize largemouth bass. We also caught a handful of BIG bream.

The largemouth didn't cooperate, and I didn't see a lot of bass activity.. Primarily panfish activity. The lake is nice and the boat setup there was great.

Curious to know if anyone has had good luck catching largemouth lately from here.
