I was worried about all the storms in the area the past couple of days and the possibility of storms today.  When I woke this morning, the area west of San Antonio did not get any rain and so I make a quick reservation and hit the water about 7 AM and finished a little before noon. Caught a total of about 30 with half culled.  Several were dinks, but many were about 12".  Nothing really top water or shallow.  It appears the correct depth was 8-15 ft using a lure with a lot of gold flecks.  Majority of my fish were caught to the right of the launch point and in the large flat area on the right-hand (non-dam) side.  I was afraid the recent rains would have muddied the water, but clarity was to 5-6 ft.  Water temp was 75 and air temp between 73-85.  Initially there was a good amount of cloud cover and a nice, steady breeze.. As I was leaving the sky was clearing and the wind as decreasing (good time to leave).  Water level is still great.
