My 10 year old son and I fished the property 05/27 - from about 1pm - 5.  First time at this place.  The weather man was wrong again - no rain today, but the winds were pretty gusty at times.   We put in right by the jon boat, by the rock piles.  The boat looks new, didn't use it though.

We spent the first hour or so running around the lake - I had a T-rig lizard and wacky worm setup on rods for my son.  Nothing!  I was getting worried about keeping his interest up slow fishing plastics.  I finally tied on a blue/chrome rattletrap for him and took him through the trees in the middle of the lake.  Bingo - He started hooking up and catching some nice bass - I set the drag a little light for him so they felt like he was catching some monsters.  He probably caught a dozen or so - all over the cull size.  He had a blast.  I probably only cast three or four times the entire afternoon.  Spent most of the time as a guide and getting snags and knots out for him.  I did catch one through.  I can easily see how two adults could go out there and hammer big numbers.

Water quality was great and weeds are what you expect in the shallows.  They do have a water weed I have only seen in a few lakes.  It is only in spots, but it is thick and will clog a trolling motor down to nothing.  It is a brown/green grass like weed.  For some old timers in the club, it is what was in Turf Tanks when that was in the club.  It is only in a few spots of the lake.

Great addition to the club and a quick drive from Frisco.
