Fished this lake on Oct 2 - From 7:30 til 12:30 with a client.
Lots of topwater activity in the AM, lake was down about 2 feet. Also, loads of small bait fish - very active.
I caught about 15 - all healthy, chunky fish - largest about 4#‘s. Client caught about 12 ea, including a 3.5+ fish, too
Caught on Sinko’s mostly - would not hit the topwater lures
we threw at them. all fish released back. Landowner was
very gracious and indicated he intended to make some
improvements in the facility going forward. Lots of fun.

How is the grass at this location? Can you fly fish and bank fish without dealing with it?

John,
I was there about a month ago, and the grass was very short. You should have no problems fly fishing from the bank, if nothing has dramatically changed.
