Spinnerbaits, shad colored cranks and soft stickbtaits around the grass should get you bit.

Terry,

My son and I fished there Saturday morning.  The bite was slow, as I think the lake is in the process of turning.  No topwater action with poppers or buzzbaits.  Caught 5 decent fish all with texas rigged Zoom baby brush hogs in smoke shad color.  I have only fished there twice, but both times my fish were caught in the grass beds along the east and west shore, and around the brush and fallen trees.  Neither time did I get any action on topwaters.  Make sure you have an anchor if you use a boat, the wind hits the lake enough to keep pushing you off spots.  Hope this helps, and good luck!

Terry,

The lake has a great average size fish of about 17” and 2.5 lbs. Catching 5 lb + fish is rare, but catching a bunch of dinks is rare. With it’s location so close to downtown Dallas and the average size fish about 2.5 lbs, it makes this lake on of the most popular in the club. There is only a little bit of structure, so most of the fish are in the grass on the east side of the lake or the group of laydowns on the west side of the lake. We did sink 3 or 4 trailer loads of brush piles. You just have to find them as they are not marked. The lake is 15 acres and the brush piles are within 20 feet of the shore so you should be able to find them. 1/16 oz Texas rigged Creature baits or weightless Senkos rigged wacky should work great with these light winds.
