I fished yesterday morning (Sunday) 7/31/2016 from right at about 7am to 11am. The drive in was very scenic as I saw about 20-30 pigs in the grass field. I sat and watched them for 5 min as they wondered back into the woods. The last stretch to the lake has one section of road that needs a truck in order to pass.
EQUIPMENT:I fly-fished using a frog popper pattern with a few hits, but most fish were caught with a size 4 lime-green bunny leech and a size 4 red/pink woolly bugger.
SUMMARY OF FISH: Total bass landed:13 Size of Fish: Largest - 2-3/4lbs Most fish just over 14". I harvested 4 fish under 14". One monster perch. Lots of missed hookups and thrown hooks, but these are not counted in the 13. Good action.
LOCATION OF FISH: Most fish were on the opposite side of lake of dam. I did manage to catch 2 fish off the dam nearest ends of the dam where it gets shallower. ALL fish were tight with the bank and right up in the vegetation.
TIMELINE: The fish bit well right off the bat, and continued till 10am. The last hour produced the largest fish of the day which was about 2-3/4lbs. Most fish just over 14". I harvested 4 fish under 14".
