I'm going home, oh wait you drove. We fished Saturday afternoon at Jer Mar.  We loaded the boat and started throwing topwater at high noon. Second cast bam I nailed  a nice one six feet off the boat. Another few minutes and my partner (Jason) nails even a better one.  I should have known how this day  would go from here on.  He threw top water all afternoon, so did I to the point that I needed to catch some fish. We ended the day with Jason going 30 Bass for 40 hookups (no dinks). I went 2 for 15 ( no dinks). I caught another 5 Bass on flukes of which 2 were harvested. Jason offered me his seat, his pole and even gave me his frog.  He had fun as he throws top water 12 months of the year. Now the important stuff. The main channel is stained the edges are crystal clear.  You need dark colors and have to throw it on shore, they were blowing up a foot off the bank.  Yes there are weeds but not a problem as I bought a weedless prop for the trolling motor. Both sides held fish and maybe better on the east side. Didn't get much action on the north end.  The road is in great shape. Talked withe the owner for a minute as he was checking on new spillway.  He asked us about the north lake and one day we are going to take time and give it a try.  Fish were from 2 pounds up to 6 pounds, strong and fat.   So I took a beating yesterday but I'm sure Jason is taking a beating today on his thumb and lifting that 15 pound anchor with weeds. Hopefully I'm including two photos, one of the typical bass and the other of how they were ripping the frogs apart. We went through two bags of frogs. They even tore up the bronze eyed frogs.  This could be a good week to get out to Jer Mar with a possible cloud cover on and off all week.
