I appreciate the plug Steve.  David, to shed some light on barometric pressure (BR), I learned an awful lot over the past 2 years in working directly with meteorologists at Accuweather.  Here are a few of the most important things that are relevant to Bass Fishing.  1. The BR changes daily, so when you see a report that the BR is "rising or falling," it is typical and usually meaningless.  2.  What comprises a "significant" change in barometric pressure is when it rises or falls more than .2 in a 24 hour period (for example from 30 to 28.7).   3. In developing the formula for our BassForecast rating, we used the D/FW area as our base and registered every instance for every day in 2015 to identify days where the BR moved more than .2 in a 24 hour period.  We discovered that in volatile months (like Feb, Mar & Apr) that the occurrences were 4 to 6 times per month. And that in every instance but one, it was accompanied by a front with significant temperature changes, wind and/or precipitation.  So, we decided to program this "rule" into our BassForecast rating formula.  How this works is that we use 10 days forward barometric pressure forecasts provided by accuweather and when it is predicted that this rule will occur, the rating adjusts accordingly.  I hope this helps.  If you want to banter about the topic more, please feel free to e-mail me at bassforecast@gmail.com   Tight lines  Mike Mehlmann
