Fingerling
This was my first trip to Bennett, and Ron's second. We caught 20 to 3.5 pounds. The fish were healthy and thick, and they fought well.
This is a great lake, more like a mini-reservoir than a farm tank. I took my portable sonar and confirmed water 33 feet deep, and much of the lake is 17-26 feet. There are some great flat points with cool shelves that drop into deep water, and many of the fish were deep. The lake has a variety of conditions from shallow weeds for frog action to deep cover for vertical presentations. Well worth the drive, and we will hit it in the spring.
Oh, we caught about 20 primarily on crankbait and TX-rigged plastics.
Tight lines!
