Had a great Saturday afternoon at Melody Acres. Weather was perfect in upper 80's with mild breeze. Water was cloudy/brownish due to the recent rains. Worked the banks and caught 12-15 dingers and harvested most, using mostly Senkos and worms. Fun catching a lot but all very small. At the end of the day, I was working back towards the dock when I heard a mild splash behind me. A big fish had rolled on top of the water, so I threw right in the middle, which never works, but this time it did and I landed a 5-6 pound hog! It hit a Zoom worm with a J tail, and it swam under the boat and back before I landed it. So awesome!

The owners are the nicest people! Jeanne and I stayed the night, and he brought us fresh eggs from the coop. Helped me rig up the boat, picked some peppers for me, and was whistling all the while! Will definitely be back!
