Sorry for the report delay, I came back to work after vacation to mega hours. We caught only 13 fish from dawn til dusk, however, they were big. The biggest five for the boat was 8.6, 8.6 ,6.4, 5.0, 3.5,= 33 lbs. 2 oz.

Six big fish were lost due to them charging the boat at hi speed.  Using 7:1 gear ratio reels and 7.5 ft. rods helped but could not get it done. Two huge fish broke 20 lb test quickly on the hook set, (Ouch). We harvested 5 fish that were 16' or less.

Do not be shy to post what you caught fish on. Always fish the conditions and let them tell you what they want. That's why there's more than one bait on the shelves at your tackle store. The pro"s don"t all use the same bait.

I fished everything I had and found that the 7" & 10" senko style baits could come through the weeds and go deeper when needed. They worked well.

We tried top water mourning and dusk- ( Pop- R, Super Spook, Buzz Bait, and Red Fin), Spinner baits, carolina rigs and texas rigs with worms, lizards, craws and creature baits. Weightless and lightly weighted lizards and craws. Also used 8" spoons, 2 ft. 4 ft. & 8 ft. depth large crank baits, Jigs ( Swim & Bottom) Combined with a side imager.

They do what they do every day and you have to adapt to it, Good luck guys.

Good report. We're fishermen, so people aren't going to believe us anyway ergo, why NOT tell the truth?
