A guest and I fished a morning at Ellington on November 10th. We fished almost solely the large lake. In all caught 11 bass and one catfish.  Everything was caught in silver or silver and blue rattle traps.  Couldn't get bites on anything else we threw. Most of the fish hit between 730 and   9 ans we caught the majority on the north bank

Interesting we spoke briefly to the owner and he mentioned that a couple of people had fished the day before and a couple earlier in the week. I don't know if these were club members but if there are other people fishing this place that might explain the low numbers that I see reported that are posted on this website

We did enjoy our morning and I would come back here again. Bob

Hi Bob,

Thanks for taking time to post a report. I'm glad you had a chance to meet with John. He is one of my favorite landowners.

John does have about 6 other people who have permission to fish the lake outside of our PWF members. They live close by and fish the lake 2-3 times a month. But, on lakes that size, it should not effect fishing pressure.
