My son and I took advantage of the 80 degree weather on the day after Christmas to explore Brushy Creek.
One reason to like this property is that I have to drive by "Salt Lick" Barbeque in Driftwood.
We fished in the afternoon and caught 7 using rattletraps and Mann's One Minus crankbaits.
Also caught one using a tequilla sunrise texas rigged worm.
Lake was full and water was flowing.
No top water but looking forward to the spring and fishing the large shallow flats with the frog.
Steve, that's a nice addition. Will take the other "Tom" there this spring for some more "Bass and Barbeque".

Tom. Good report. We lived in Buda several years ago on the road that ends at the Salt Lick. Just do not go there on a Saturday after an in town UT football game. Wait times will be several hours.
