I was in Austin for a few warm days and thought I would check this property out Friday morning before I returned to Houston. The weather however went from the 70s to the 40s and pretty much shut down my fishing. But I did catch 1 fish in the creek and learned a few things.

- The jon boat looks brand new and in excellent condition.

- The land owner was friendly and shared some stories about catching fish on the lake.

- The lake itself looks very large with a lot of fishable but shallow water.

- It only takes about 10 minutes to get to the lake from Interstate 35. 

- Cabelas is only a few miles north on Interstate 35.
