My wife and I stayed Sat 10/30/10 and Sun 10/31/10 in the very nice and comfortable cabin. We both had a great time and my wife (very much a city girl) had the best time she has ever had out in the country. She can’t wait to go back. We sat out on the patio overlooking the lake and had supper on Sat night watching deer and cows come by to check us out.
The fishing was ok, I didn’t get alot of opportunity to fish, was with my wife in Canton but did manage to fish Sat evening after we arrived at the cabin. I caught a nice 3# 10 minutes after I started on my own hand poured worm. I ended up with about 5 the first night. Sun morning caught about 7 more, 3 in the small pond that were solid healthy fish. Sun night caught about 5 more with my wife walking with me around the lake and let her reel them in. All fish were caught on my own worms or my own top water frogs.
The big lake is about 4 to 5 feet low and extremely shallow all the way around it. All the structure is visible and the stickup on the website picture is completly out of the water, it is in about 6” of water. Rain is needed real bad.
Side note, I make all my own lures, poppers, spinnerbaits, buzzbaits and rattletraps and now I am pouring my own plastics which is a blast to do. I have bought a few molds but started making my own molds from plaster of paris. I am making hybrids of popular plastics on the market, I cut them up and then put different pieces back together to make a frog or worms and swimbaits from 3 or more different popular ones on the market. It is a lot of fun doing this and not difficult at all. I have hundreds and would gladly share with other members. Send me emails and I will send some to whoever would like some. I would also gladly tell you how I make them so others could have the enjoyment of catching fish on something you make yourself. I use all plastics I already have and just melt them down and then repour in my molds. I can make any plastic lure with multiple colors, they look really neat to me but I’m sure the fish don’t care how cool they look.
Everyone should go to Parker Branch and experiance the cabin and seclusion of the site. My wife and I will go back again. She also wants to go to Yates place now that she has seen it on the website. I have been a member since 1999 and have really enjoyed it.

Marshall,
What a very generous offer. Marshall has sent me some of his lures in the past. The workmanship is first class and I have shared some of his top water poppers with some of our new landowners as a thank you for signing up with our club.
Thank you for sharing with me and others.
Lastly, Parker Branch is an underutilized property and one where fishing is included with your stay, which probably makes it the best value in the club. The cabin while small, maybe the nicest in the entire club. Not really a guys type cabin, as it has only one queen bed, but PERFECT place for taking your wife for the weekend. Where can you fish for half day in the afternoon and a half day the next morning and stay in a beautiful cabin for less than $150? There are some 5lb plus fish in the lake, I caught one in June.
