I've fished this lake for 10 years and when the grass comes back it will produce unlike any fishery in central Texas.  For now the grass is very short and most fish will be on shallow banks the rest of the year.  Senkos are always a safe bet.  Texas rig will get it done but you will need to try different colors. We put 20-25 in the boat today in 4 hours with the biggest being 6 lbs.  the female we caught was on a bed in 6' if water.  We caught several spawned out as well.
