Decided to do a half day at Brushy Creek….got to the lake right at sunrise.  Wind was calm at first light, but it was cold outside and the water was cold.  Fish didn't start biting until the water warmed up.  Around 9-10ish, water warmed up and fish started biting…..but the wind picked up pretty good and I had a really tough time operating the boat.  Landed 5 fish….biggest one maybe 2-3ish pounds.  Lost another 2-5….including what would've been the biggest fish for me today which took off and never stopped spooling my line.  Finally it spit out my senko about 20 yards out….looked to be about 4-5 lbs when I saw it break the surface of the water.  All fish were caught on plastics today….drop shot, texas rig, and weightless.  If wind weren't a factor, I probably would've fished the dam a lot more as there seemed to be good numbers of fish in that area based on the bites I received.
