The important stuff: 1 < 10" ; 3 from 2-05 to 2-10 ; a 3-02 and a 3-10. Missed 3 that looked in the 3s, one that looked every bit of 5. All but one on Texas rigged senko, watermelon w/chart tail.
Fished after work instead of fighting I-35 traffic. There from 5-7 with about 30 minutes being me looking like a fool up the creek with a fly rod.
Set my rods how I wanted the night before, pulled to the launch area and started test casting making sure breaks were set etc. First cast with senko landed a 2, couple later the dink, right before I was about to stop and load the boat hooked the 5 but not well enough.
Got in the boat and eventually found my way to the north shore. Fished from the first fence to the sunk boat. Every fish was beneath a tree over hang and were keeping close. If I didn't have a strike in the first 5' I got to where I was just cranking it in. Just about every tree produced a hit and I'm pretty confident I could've turned around at the sunk boat and produced on them all again, but time was short.
Very good evening fishing, if I could set the hook half way decent it might've been an awesome evening fishing. Maybe next time.
