One fisherman using white the other using black. One throwing top water the other pushing water below.  This is way the afternoon went.  In total we caught around 40 Bass.  There was no one location that was super productive. We would catch 2 to 5 and then move to another location.  Best times were between noon and one-thirty and then again around six-thirty to seven.  Fish all looked healthy some have spawned out and other we're still fat with roe.  Most fish in the 2 to 3 weight range and all put up a great fight.  Of the total we harvested 7.  This lake has super structure of lay downs, stumps, weeds.  No weeds on the surface maybe six inches to a foot below. Besides fishing we saw a beaver, lots of deer and plenty of cormorants and a pair of nesting honkers.  Again two hours from grapevine to flipping the boat.  Water is very clear.  Now the answer to to the white and black. White was a half ounce white spinner with double willow blades cranked slowly. The black was a Ribbit frog cranked at the speed of light.  Caught a few on red Shad senko, one on a sexy Shad crankbait and nothing on watermelon.  This mating thing has got to stop and have those bass get back to a normal boring life waiting for my fluke.
