Decided Thurs. night to try Julian Lake on Friday afternoon.  Confirmed, as another member  previously had posted last fall, that most all the grass is gone from this lake.  In spite of the calm, beautiful weather, bites were hard to come by, which I don;t think is normal for this lake.  Caught five, including one crappie, up to 3lbs. with no culls.  All were strong and healthy.  Just few and far between.  Maybe just me.   Enjoyed watching the geese that are nesting all over the lake.
