Guest and I fished Neill on Saturday. Morning was completely overcast. Caught 18 by 10 but none on top water on a variety of baits - Senkos, lizards, cranks, chatterbait, spinnerbail, underspin. As skies cleared the bite subsided. We stuck around for late afternoon/early evening top water but it was not to be. Total of 26 including 2 crappie, culled 6 bass and one crappie. Those released back ranged from 1 to 4.5 lbs with most in the 3 lb range but all fought hard. Lost big fish of the day that came unbuttoned on a underspin five feet from boat when it came out of the water and shook it's big head. Beautiful lake with resident geese, a flock of ibis trying to land, a pair of black-bellied whistling ducks sitting on one of the wood duck boxes and a green heron.  Great day on the water on a great property.
