My partner and I fished Caresend on Wednesday April 19th. Right away was happy to see the chocolate milk water color of the previous few trips was gone. While still muddy there was a trace of green in the color. Water clarity is a funny thing. It is always more than you think. There was a Secchi disk on the dock (the standard tool for measuring visibility) and it read 17 inches. I would have guessed a foot or less.
We had a great bite most all day. Set a PB on our best 5 with 41.12. Best fish 8.66. Best 10 were 73.18. Harvested 7 and while we kept meticulous records on big fish we didn’t on total catch. I think it is safe to say we caught 40 fish though. Everything came on tx rig and Carolina rig but that is pretty much all we threw. I am sure other baits would have worked. Oh, I did catch a couple of fish, including a 5.15, sitting on the dock having lunch on a wacky rig.
Truly an awesome day and really the bite was on, better than perhaps any time I have been here.

Congratulations on a great trip and PB.
41+ lbs is truly a great day that you will remember forever. Not many people ever get to experience that type of success. In my opinion, its one of the many things that what makes the club and Caresend lake so special…....Congrats!
