Pulled off I-45 at Fairfield for lunch at Sam's, then took the back roads to Elkhart down to Latexco so Brenda could enjoy the spring flora and fauna then through the woods to the ranch. We were greeted by our wonderful hosts with a dozen farm fresh eggs for breakfast, then  fished  for an hour or so in the mid afternoon without a bump, returned about 6:00 and worked plastics on the west side with several lost dinks and a few to harvest. Then switched to a clear Popr and the action began with the largest about 6 lb.  The next morning, worked the old dam and upper lake with a few dinks, some missed hits and lost fished and several nice fish on June bug zooms.   

We both enjoyed our stay, a nice property to take an over night trip with a non-fishing spouse
