Fished Bennett under breezy (15mph S wind), partly cloudy to sunny skies from approx 1PM to 8:15PM.  Outside temps from 84 to 89.  This secluded property is a gem and an escape as always.  The lake was very full - more flooded vegetation than I've seen before and water clarity to about 3ft.  We caught plenty of fish - but only one at 3lb 6oz, everything else was exactly 13 to 15 inches (oh, my son landed a 5-05 channel cat on a swimbait).  Just couldn't find a bait, or a location, for any bigger ones.  UV speed worms and paddletail swimbait accounted for the majority.  Tried chatterbait, lipless crank, and topwater trying to coax a bigger bite - but it was a no-go this time.  Harvested and cleaned 13 of them.  Great outdoor fun and a little road trip with my son home from college!
