Fingerling
My son and I fished Elizabeth from 7ish until 8ish with a few breaks and caught 42 fish. Most were 2lb-3lb footballs. Very fat and great fighters. After the rain we searched the shallows and beat the banks without much success and right before lunch a light bulb went off. The afternoon was MUCH BETTER. Most fish were caught on soft plastics around the points and feeders. Did catch a few on a 3/4 ounce chrome rattletrap including a huge bream. Also caught a huge bream on a pegged Texas rig with a 5/0 hook. A first for me. Big fish of the day went to Michael with a 5.4 lber. Several 4s. All in all a good day. It's an awesome setting. Catching fish while watching deer all day is my idea of redneck heaven!
