I've been trying to take one of my dads buddy's fishing for a long time.  The stars aligned June 22 and we finally got to go. Left my house in Monroe La at 3am drove the 3 hour and 45 min drive with anticipation. Got Mr Ronnie in the boat with his gear and started fishing. Didn't take long and we were catching fish. He could not believe how fat the fish were. All in all we caught 65-70 fish in a full day of fishing.  Most fish came on Texas rigged worms,craws, and a few on spinnerbaits and rattle traps. Fished until about 6:30 and let me tell you the drive back home was tough. Mr Ronnie can't wait to go back!  He's 75 and I believe that's the most fun he's ever had in a boat.  Weather was heavily overcast with intermittent showers. The bass forecast that particular day started out a perfect 10 and I checked it again around lunch and it was a 9.5.  Great day of fishing at an awesome place with an old friend.
