Decided to brave the heat and catch the afternoon peak time on 7/9. On the water at noon and two fish by 12:30 on chatterbait. Headed to my favorite point across from main house and picked up another one or two. By this time school fish started the breaking surface and picked several on rattletrap all the time keeping an eye on the sky. With lightening in sight to the north decided to fish closer to boat house in case needed to make a run for it. Picked up a couple more with one the largest for the day at about 4 lbs on weightless worm. By 3:00 I was seeking the cover of the boat house with cell after cell coming across from multiple directions. Didn't have enough cell coverage to get radar app to find me so when lightened up around 4:00 decided it was time to load up. While the day could have been better weather wise, 10 in the cooler and 3 released in 3 hours is OK with me.
