Chris Bisbee and I fished all day Saturday 7/29. Great day. Our best five were: 7lb 8oz; 7lbs; 7lbs; 6lbs; 6lbs, for a 33.5lb bag. Our top 10 were all over 5lbs! We harvested 6 under 16", and another two got away. Probably another 20 that were over 16" that ranged from 2-1/2 pound footballs to 4-3/4" pounds. Extremely hard fighting and almost all were very heavy for their length. Rainy morning that cleared off later in the morning, got pretty hot when sun was out. Bass were keying on the threadfin shad, and would turn on whenever it got a little cloudy, then turn off when the sun was bright. Shad colored Berkeley Dredger 8.5 and 17.5 crankbaits produced the best results. Many of the quality fish were caught out in the middle of the lake on the third of the lake nearest the dam, but some were shallower near bluegill feeders and trees- both real timber and the synthetic trees. The 7-1/2 hit a large white chartreuse double willow spinner bait. Other lures that caught 5lb plus fish were watermelon red swim senkos, bluegill colored swim jig, shad colors in Bass Pro speed shads soft swimbaits. Overall, the crankbaits were the most consistent pattern. Awesome lake, big thanks to PWF and the owners for allowing us access to a fishery like this! The only other comparable days of bass fishing I've ever had required traveling to Mexico!

I couldn't agree more Chad. Those fish are some of the hardest fighting I've ever encountered.
What a fantastic sack. Excellent work!
