Greg:  I just saw your request and you have probably already fished Medina/Hill Country (I tried to get a reservation, but it was booked today - Thursday).  I have caught plenty here (nothing too big) and had luck along the outer weed edge with a rattle trap.  Earlier in the fall, I had success with a medium/deep crank bait between the steep bank around the left corner from the launch and the opposite side.

thanks fot the invite bill. did not have a very productive day fishing. caught just a couple. and they were only in the six to eight inch range. threw everything in my bag at them. did enjoy my day on the water the weather was great
