I know a 34 pound sack is ok at Caresend but I wasn't on Caresend! Elizabeth came thru again!  I decided to go see Ms Elizabeth while traveling thru to watch Michael play in the fall scrimmage at TAMU-C. Good choice. I brought along an old family friend that gave up fresh water fishing over 25 years ago. He's been catching sharks and bull reds right where people swim in the gulf (kinda scary). The morning started off pretty slow with bluebird skies and very little breeze. We caught a few scattered fish on the marked structure while fishing thru the major feeding period. Took a quick break for lunch up the road at Dairy Queen, got our stuff settled into the lake house, and a nap until about 3:30. Started back fishing at 4. Weather was a slight steady breeze 5-10 with some cloud cover. The minor feeding period started at 4:17. Right on time we started catching good fish on the marked structure. "Gooseberry" and "blueberry" Texas rigged magnum lizards did the work. We landed 4 fish over 7. And a few more over 6. Mr Bo lost a freak of nature about 7:30. He got it to the edge of the boat and as I was getting the net it breached… OH MY!  Easily the biggest fish I've seen on that lake. We had a blast!  All in all we caught 56 fish and most of those were "goodens" 4+.  There were some 1 1/2-2 1/2 and NO DINKS. I'll ask Cole to post a few pics. I really believe in the next year that some double digit bug eyed beauties will be caught here. Guys if you like getting bit by good fish and getting to see some monster bucks then this is your place!
