Fun day at Dogwood East. My son had boated a 6-8, and a 5-1 (very long, but very skinny) by about 9 am. Those were the two big ones, and about 30 or so dinks. Both big ones came to Tequila Sunrise Power Worms. Seven inch worked, 10 inch did not. Also what worked was Gene Larew salt craws in green pumpkin/red. A lipless crankbait in "ghost" brought in a lot of dinks, one on a 6XD, one on a baby bass crankbait. But the Tequila Sunrise seemed to rule the day. Nothing on chatterbaits, swimbaits, various shallow diving, medium diving, and deep diving crankbaits. Did not try spinnerbaits. Nothing on top water.

We ran into the gentleman owner, Rocky, on the way out. He informed us that they had stocked with tilapia two weeks prior. That is enough information for me to use as an excuse for myself not catching a big one… He also said that the bigger ones just seem to bite better in the summer.
