It is always such a pleasure to fish at The Yates Place. Mr. Yates is such a gentleman, and gracious host. My son and I struggled early, culled a few, and had some in the 2-4 pound range. Mr. Yates gave us a little direction regarding color and locations on the lake while we chatted during lunch. I'm not certain that I am authorized to give away all of his information, but what I will say is that we had some very old Red Shad Power Worms that produced for us, as well as black/blue Senkos. We fished them with a 1/16 ounce weight, as neither of us have much patience. We probably caught 15 fish in the waning hours of daylight in the 2-3 pound range, but no real lunkers. My son did miss what appeared to be a fish in the 10 pound range. We hit the stumps early and late, but all we pulled out were fish that we culled. Still, it was an enjoyable day with the most gracious of hosts!

Ok I’m worried, reserved for the weekend with the wife.  Hopefully we don’t get skunked.
