I often hear glowing reports about how beautiful this lake is . . . . would this be a good place to take young kids for a weekend of camping?  Would it be a good spot for “kid” fishing - perch and catfish?

It would be an amazing place for kids and camping. Lots of room and it would be great for kids. The fish bite and the lake is one of the cleanest lakes anywhere.

I’m not sure about catfish or perch. The lake is spring fed and stays full and relatively clear all year. It is a great numbers lake, so the action for bass is usually very good. Bank fishing is limited to a small area of the lake. In my opinion, it is probably the most scenic lake in the entire club. I think it maybe one of the most underappreciated properties. The odds of catching lots of fish in the 3 to 5 lb range are not as likely as some club lakes. However, we do have members who have had days where that caught several fish of that size. The lake is often referred to as a smaller fish lake. In fact, the landowner and I have had that discussion; recently. But, it is a great lake for getting away from it all and catching lots of fish. Look at the pictures that I took this fall and posted on the property description.
