Slot Fish
Fished 1/2 day AM. Two of us fished from sun up to around noon. We boated 9, half of which were harvested and 14 inches or less in length. Shallow running green colored crank baits with slow turns of the handle to stay out of the moss was the only productive tenchique we found. I had one bump on a large worm, but I was unable to hook up.
A spinner bait fished quickly above the moss may be productive, but I faileed to try that.
The lake is full due to recent heavy rains. Water clarity is good. The pads are dormant.
We had a good visit and dinner with Tom the owner. This is a must visit lake in the club due to the abundant wildlife, the lake, the host and accommodations. I think this lake will heat up late February or mid-March depending on the weather conditions.

Bryan,
Thanks for your post. As you know, January can be really tough fishing, but can produce a fish of a lifetime. Leon produced a 12.2 in early February on a rattletrap a few years ago.
