Fished Hidden Springs this afternoon, 11/5, with my 8 yr old son. We fished from 1:30-5:00. Boated 28 with 16 culls and 12 returned. Most of the fish over the slot were 2.5-3lbs.  We probably could have caught more but my son quit fishing and spent the rest of the afternoon playing in the livewell once he had contributed 3 or 4 fish. A small swimbait with a willow leaf spinner and a swim jig were the best baits. I did catch a couple on a buzzbait and one good 3.5 pounder on a topwater. While the fish are still a bit lean, they look much healthier than when I was there in February. The management efforts at this lake seem to be working well. I look forward to going back later this fall. Water temp is still around 75.
