My son Andrew and I fished Elizabeth for the first time from 8:15 - 6:30 Saturday.  Similar to other reports over the weekend, it was slow.  Saw many deer & cows feeding during the day, not so much fish.  Tom, we hit the same eastbound back up on LBJ Frwy. as you. We caught 9 fish, with the largest at 5 - 3, a 3 - 14 and includes 4 dinks.  All caught on rattle traps and jerkbaits.  My son caught all the fish on this day.

Rodney, we also missed out on the major feeding period, although we lost a nice 5 - 6 lb fish at the net at 1:45pm.  We did not catch a single fish on soft plastics, topwater, spinnerbait, jig or crankbait.  The fish were all very fat.

Water temp was 66 - 68.  Water clarity was poor at 1 foot. Windy for most of the afternoon at 10 - 20 mph.  The nice fish were all caught on the northeast corner near I-30.  We did not cross under I-30. We did not catch any along the dam.  We enjoyed the nice oversized Tracker boat, MinnKota TM, and the batteries kept us going all day long.

Interestingly, we saw no feeding frenzy when the feeders went off about 4 times throughout the day.  Much different than Caresend trip in May.  So I assume the baitfish must have been fat & happy as well.  Even saw pellets floating across the lake, late in the afternoon.

So being the eternal optimist, the way i see it, our Broseco combined total at both lakes was 52lbs, 3 oz. for a 10 fish sack. An average of over 5 lbs.  I'll take it!  (See June 1 Caresend report with Danny Renfro).

Thank you Broseco Ranch and PWF!
