I responded to a partnering request from Bryan Buchan and we fished the morning of March 16 at Brushy Creek. Bryan arrived before me and was getting some hits on topwater fishing the bank near the launch point. We probably got on the water a little before 8AM.

Bryan mainly used a Heddon spook and managed to catch 14 with most in the 2-3 lb range. He had only 1 dink.
I tried topwater, but did not have any success. I then tried a shallow running square-billed crank, sexy chad, and banged it against the numerous fence posts, small clumps of bushes, and the one large brush pile along the right bank as you move to the dam. I managed to catch 13 with the two largest at 3-14 and 3-11. I also had only 1 dink. The 3-14 was caught in the first brush pile and the 3-11 along the dam near the “overflow” structure. Since I was getting a lot of vegetation on the crank, around 10:30 I started using a weighted senko (green) with a spinner tail and probably caught 4-5.
Both Bryan and I have success along the bank in 1-5 ft.
I did notice several of my fish appeared to have eggs and I guess they were in pre-spawn.
This is a nice addition to the PWF properties and appears to have a healthy population of 3-4 lb bass.
