Have to be careful what you wish for on "nice" weather.  My brother and son went to Coalgate for our annual fishing trip there.  Saturday was the picture of a blue bird day at Peach Creek and Crabgrass.  Bright sun, upper 70's, and barely a breath of wind.  I don't think I've ever seen it that calm at Coalgate.  It was wonderful weather for humans, but the fish weren't so fond of it.  At least the big 'uns.  We caught about 15 fish at Peach Creek, and about 20 at Crabgrass, mostly on soft plastics, but the largest was only about 2.5 lbs.  A lot of the fish had eggs in them.  Still, as always, we had a great time.  Really enjoy this place, and I'd have to say we'd have a good time even if we didn't catch any fish.  I take that back…  we'd have to catch at least one.   Saw Steve Cody, who is a true gentleman and a wonderful host.  Always a pleasure to talk with.  We'll be back next year!
